Tight End Rankings PPR

Tight End

These are the tight-end rankings for the 2023 fantasy football season based on PPR scoring.

  1.  Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs= His ADP has him being taken in the early first round, which is a little too rich, even for the best TE in the game.
  2. Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens= Would have ranked him lower but he has a very high ceiling. He has only had one top-3 season. The last two years he was plagued by injuries and backup quarterback play.
  3. T.J. Hockenson – Minnesota Vikings
  4. Darren Waller – New York Giants= If he was injury-proof, he would be ranked at 2. However, he is not and had his seasons cut short by injury and did not look the same after coming back last year. Still, the risk is worth the reward.
  5. George Kittle – San Francisco 49ers
  6. Dallas Goedert – Philadelphia Eagles= Goedert can do everything expected as a top TE, except for score touchdowns. He rarely finds the endzone, but if those numbers increase, he will be worth a position on your team.
  7. Pat Freiermuth – Pittsburgh Steelers
  8. Kyle Pitts – Atlanta Falcons= It feels like blasphemy putting a generational talent like Pitts this low. An injury ended his season early last year, but even before that, he was performing subpar. The issue is that the Falcons are a run-first team, and the quarterback is decent at best. The bright side is that no TE has a higher ceiling than Pitts.
  9. Evan Engram – Jacksonville Jaguars
  10. David Njoku – Cleveland Browns= A potential breakout candidate after a solid year last season with iffy quarterback play. DeShaun Watson looks like a return to his pro bowl form after a tumultuous last few seasons. If he does, Njoku has a lot of value, even if he doesn’t, he still offers upside.
  11. Dalton Kincaid – Buffalo Bills= This feels too low. Rookie TEs rarely produce their rookie year because there is more to learn at the position than in college. Kincaid is the exception for one very important reason. He is labeled a TE but will be playing in the slot. The Bills already have a starting TE in Dawson Knox. Kincaid was drafted specifically for the slot role. In PPR that results in an excellent outlook.
  12. Greg Dulcich – Denver Broncos= These next three all have similar value and sleeper status. If you do not get one of the top TE’s these three will finish in the top-12 by the end of the year. Ok, two of the three definitely will. Sean Payton likes to involve the tight end and Dulcich has the skill set to excel.
  13. Juwan Johnson – New Orleans Saints= See above. Sneaky good last year.
  14. Chigoziem Okonkwo – Tennessee Titans= See above. Watch some game tapes of him. Plus, there are not a lot of receivers in Tennessee.
  15. Mike Gesicki – New England Patriots= A new edition to the Patriots that could take over the starting TE role from Hunter Henry. More than likely they are going to eat into each other’s production.
  16. Dalton Schultz – Houston Texans
  17. Tyler Higbee – Los Angeles Rams
  18. Cole Kmet – Chicago Bears
  19. Zach Ertz – Arizona Cardinals= Unknown quarterback situation on a team planning on losing a lot. Also injury prone.
  20. Gerald Everett – Los Angeles Chargers
  21. Dawson Know – Buffalo Bills= His production and TDs dropped last year and they just drafted a rookie TE, although he is projected to play more of a slot role.
  22. Hayden Hurst – Carolina Panthers
  23. Logan Thomas – Washington Redskins
  24. Tyler Conklin – New York Jets= Showed flashes of potential, perhaps Aaron Rodgers will get a breakout out of him.
  25. Trey McBride – Arizona Cardinals
